SECURITY & CONFIDENTIALITY
Your drawings.
Your control.
Engineering drawings are your intellectual property. Keep ownership of your PDFs, with workspace access controls and retention settings managed by your workspace owner.
How we protect your drawingsEncrypted at rest and in transit
Your stored drawing files and review records are encrypted. HTTPS protects uploads and downloads.
Your data stays yours
Your drawings remain yours. Their content is not sold or used to train shared AI models.
Retention you control
Workspace owners choose how long drawings stay and can delete individual drawings or the whole workspace’s drawing history.
How we protect your data.
Confidentiality for your drawings
Your PDFs, comparison results and review edits are covered by the confidentiality commitments in our terms, whether or not they are marked confidential.
Access for your team
Workspace membership controls access to drawings and results. Owners manage membership and retention. Removing a member prevents new access through the workspace. Existing download links expire within five minutes; copies already downloaded remain with their recipients.
Review, download and delete
Check your workspace retention setting before uploading. Review and download comparison results in your workspace. Owners can delete individual drawings in the library or all drawings in workspace settings. The answers below explain how deletion works and which copies may remain.
AI for your comparison
AI processes drawing content to identify differences and propose redlines for your team to review. Your drawings and their extracted content are not used to train shared AI models. Our privacy policy explains data processing and retention.
Security and privacy FAQs.
Are my engineering drawings used to train AI models?
No. Your drawings and their extracted content are not used to train shared AI models. AI processes drawing content to identify changes and propose redlines for your team to review. Processing providers may retain content for security, abuse prevention or legal obligations; this is separate from model training.
Who can see the PDFs I upload?
Authorized workspace members can view and download drawings. Our service and processing providers handle drawing content to provide comparisons. Service personnel may access information for support, maintenance, security or legal obligations. Our terms and privacy policy describe permitted use.
How does drawing retention work?
Workspace owners can keep drawings until deletion, or choose a retention period of 24 hours, 7, 30 or 90 days. The period runs from comparison creation and applies to existing drawings too. You can check the workspace setting before uploading. At expiry, workspace access is removed; deletion follows in the background once active processing finishes.
What happens when a drawing is deleted?
Workspace owners can delete an individual drawing in the library or all drawings in workspace settings after active comparison or export processing finishes. Workspace access is removed first, then source PDFs, results and review content are removed from active storage in the background. Existing download links can remain usable for up to five minutes. Deleted file recovery copies are retained for seven days after removal from active file storage. Other backups and processing-provider records have separate retention periods, so deletion does not immediately erase every copy. Billing and security records may remain. Downloaded or shared copies remain with their recipients.
How is the confidentiality of my drawings protected?
Our standard terms include confidentiality commitments for uploaded drawings, extracted content, comparison results, review edits and exports, whether or not you mark them confidential. Permitted use is limited to providing and supporting the service, maintaining security and meeting legal obligations.
For personal-data processing, rights and requests, read our privacy policy.
